We moved
As many of you know, since the end of last year we moved to the old part of downtown Inca (Mallorca) and we decided to recover a house, which was a shoe workshop and where there was probably a pottery around the 17th century. The result is the Onsom24 house, a space for ideas, for creation, to break the rules and innovate with capital letters. A commitment to the economic, architectural, cultural and social reactivation of the old town of Inca (Majorca).
The house was restored with bio-construction materials, replacing cement with lime mortar and plastic paint with lime.
The walls were uncovered and a potter's oven, a stone Gothic arch from the 14th century and a lowered semicircular arch made of sandstone (marés) came to light. The original floor of the house is made of pebbles and is 40 cm from the current one.
Currently, the process of recovering the entrance doors, the beams, the tiles and the walls continues, which will be whitewashed again during the month of July, taking advantage of the good weather.
The house has a corral in which we have planted an ecological urban garden according to the methodology of John Seymour, famous for applying self-sufficient horticulture. Next to the orchard there is a chicken coop with four hens that produce eggs and feed exclusively on grain and vegetables.
