Development of the skills and competencies model in a Special Employment Center

During 2018 we are leading a pilot and pioneer project at European level with the Es Garrover Foundation within the scope of the centers Special Employment Centers (CEE), which focuses on skills and competencies of each student and allows their personal and professional development by developing a wider range of professional activities than those traditionally offered in special employment centres. In this way, people with a disorder of mental health, achieve greater self-esteem, financial and personal autonomy and fully integrate into broader labor markets and, of course, at the social level.

Traditionally, the training programs of the CEEs follow very rigid and scheduled programs. What excited us most about this project was precisely applying the methodology that we apply with our clients, because from the first moment we bet on the students and their aptitudes and abilities. In addition, many of the sessions are held in real companies, both training sessions, visits and fieldwork that allow students to experience all the processes of a business first-hand and also give visibility and continue to break the stigma of mental disorders.

The results are so spectacular that very soon we will be able to tell you much more because we are advancing at great speed with the psychological support and the enthusiastic team that makes the Es Garrover Foundation.
